The Belch Brigade is a fictional line of toys designed by Irwin Wayfair and distributed by the Heartland Toy Company, prior to the events of Small Soldiers. The core design philosophy of the toys is gross-out humour, clearly aimed at a young, 90's male demographic.

Members[]

There are seven known members of the Belch Brigade, though only Flatchoo is ever seen on screen. The names of the remaining members can be found in the lore book, Top Secret Dossier: From the Files of Irwin Wayfair, with each named after various bodily functions:

  • Flatchoo - A portmanteau of flatulence and achoo, an onomatopoeic sneeze.
  • Boil - Self-explanatory.
  • Pusskataweny Phil - A portmanteau of puss and Punxsutawney Phil, a groundhog famous in American folklore.
  • Flem Master Flem - A misspelling of phlegm.
  • Reguro - A truncation of regurgitate.
  • Snot Wad - Self-explanatory.
  • Gastromo - An extension of gastro, ancient Greek for stomach.

Trivia[]

  • You could order the Belch Brigade toys by calling 1-800-555-BURP.[1]
  • With seven members, the Belch Brigade has the same number of members as the Gorgonites.
  • Flatchoo produces burp and fart noises when his stomach is pressed, suggesting the remaining members have similar "actions".
  • The 1997 screenplay draft mentioned these toys would have used bottles for their gimmicks.[citation needed]
  • As a successful product, Larry Benson naturally tried to take credit for Erwin's creations.[citation needed]
