Globotech Industries is an American conglomerate run by CEO Gil Mars, self-described as the worldwide leader in high tech military weaponry.
According to their promotional video, Globotech is expanding its interests into the private sector by selling consumer-grade products based on their military R&D. This introduction to the movie foreshadows its central plot, where the X-1000 is used in the manufacture of the Small Soldiers toy line.
Small Soldiers (film)[]
The film opens on a promotional video for Globotech's expansion into the commercial section, explaining why an arms manufacturer would be acquiring an independent toy company. The very next scene is their acquisition of Heartland Toy Company, renaming it to Heartland Play Systems, and firing all but Irwin Wayfair and Larry Benson to streamline the production of their next hit childrens' toy, following the success of the Belch Brigade toy line.

Trivia[]
- Globotech's marketing slogan, "turning swords into ploughshares" is a reference to the Messianic Bible, Isaiah 2:3–4. The phrase literally means "to turn weapons into peaceful tools", which ironically foreshadows the plot of the movie, where smart ballistic missile guidance microprocessors are mistakenly used in children's toys, turning them into weapons.
- Fassbinder Pharmaceuticals is the company that make Irwin Wayfair's inhalers.[1]
