The Inner Child is a toy store; owned, and primarily run by Stuart Abernathy. Because of its owner's traditionalist views, the store does not stock electronic or "war" toys (though this is not always true), instead favouring simple, wooden ones.

Stock[]

The centrepiece of the store is a large, wooden Viking longship, handmade by Stuart Abernathy. There is also a drawing station, a painting station, and an easel for young children to play with.

Window dressings include: a Revolutionary War Redcoat marionette, a rocking horse, a toy wigwam, and a flyer for Octoberfest.

Other items in the store include: a wooden puzzle of the Unites States flag displayed on the wall (used as a backdrop by Chip Hazard), toy cars, toy ducks, toy instruments, soft toys, puppets, marionettes, books, and various boxed table top games.

Trivia[]

  • Has a bike rack outside the store.[2]
  • Accepts VISA and MasterCard![3]
  • Despite being against "war toys", The Inner Child still stocks toy soldiers, toy cannons, and other war-related toys.[4]
